ALWAYS DO RIGHT

Life is a beautiful gift that we often take for granted. Everyday we fill every minute of our days with so many things. Many of us spend a lot of time with our jobs. Let me first say that our jobs are important. However, what happens if we gain professional success, but lose the ones we love?
There are some things that are not worth sacrificing. And one of those things is our family. God has given us an amazing gift in the family. No one is asking you to stop striving to achieve your dreams and goals. This will sound quite cliché but no one is promised tomorrow. We are only promised this moment.
As leaders, we should always do right for our families and ourselves.
Take time to build yourself, your marriage, and your children. Don’t sacrifice these special gifts from God because these gifts give us credibility as leaders.
We have heard the statement pay me now or pay me later. How many times have you heard sadden adults tell the story of their teenage or adult children dead, incarcerated, or devastated with drug addiction? Leading starts with our families. If we don’t lead our families and ourselves, we are giving permission for something or someone else to lead us. There is a scripture from Proverbs 29:15 that says, “A child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.”
There is no reason for us to not to do the right thing and lead our families first. See the light at the end of the tunnel. The joy you will experience is unspeakable if you decide to invest in your family.
Create manageable objectives or steps for you to achieve the goal of investing in your family. Always do the right thing and make time to lead your family.
