ARE YOU SABOTAGING YOUR SUCCESS?
How do you define success? Would you consider yourself successful? How successful do you want to be? Maybe you have all the success you can handle. Are you sabotaging your success?
Proverbs is a great book to learn many leadership principles. In Proverbs 3:5-6 (NCV) says,
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding. Remember the LORD in all you do, and he will give you success.
Many times we think success begins with us.
One of the primary reasons why we fail to taste success is because of our independent attempt to succeed. Please hear me out. No matter how successful you think you are, you cannot be the best you can be by trying to do it all by yourself. Success begins with you understanding that you have little control.
As the scripture says in Proverbs 3, you have to lean on God’s understanding. Who knows more than God? My point exactly. No one! Let me say it again, NO ONE!
Knowledge begins with respect for the LORD, but fools hate wisdom and self-control. - Proverbs 1:7 NCV
As leaders, our success begins and ends with God. Injecting your own thoughts, ideas, and creativity is only good after you have consulted with God.
Whatever you do, don’t let your pride and ego sabotage your success. Trust in a higher power. God created you and the only reason why leadership exists is because of Him. I challenge you to trust God and let Him create the success your life desperately needs. Success is waiting.
I want to hear from you. How have you trusted God for your success? Or in what areas can trust God more to be more successful?
Peace and Prosperity,
