LEADING WITHOUT LIMITATIONS
“The only limits to the possibilities in your life are the buts you use today.” - Les Brown
How many times do you make excuses for something you should be doing? Excuses should never be part of your leadership? Whenever a person’s leadership is filled with excuses usually it lacks accountability and possibilities.
Can you imagine a life without the words can’t, if, or but?
I CAN!
The key to living a more prosperous life is to remove the restrictions of your mind. Prosperity is defined by the ability to move forward.
This past Monday my wife and I had the distinct opportunity to attend the 2016 Joe and Honey Rodgers Christian Civic Leadership Awards. This esteemed event honored individuals who demonstrated outstanding personal commitment, as well as excellence in leadership, business, and civic service with a lifetime devotion to Jesus Christ to improve and enhance quality of life for all.
It was an inspirational event from the speakers, music, to the attendees. We felt tremendously privileged to be in the presence of so many people who are serious about making a difference. Every leader present spoke about their passion to serve whether they were speaking on the big stage or if it was a casual conversation with one of the attendees in passing. I didn’t hear any excuses for why our world needs change because all these leaders are busy being change.
Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, think about all the things you do have. Instead of wishing for new friends, focus on the positive individuals already in your space. Instead of making excuses, take accountability. Instead of majoring on the impossibilities, focus on what is possible and the resources within grasp.
I believe it is very easy to overlook the very blessings in front of our faces. And usually these are the opportunities that will give our life success beyond our imaginations.
At the end of the day, the fact of the matter is you can be and do anything you believable in your mind. Stop blocking your mind, focus on the resources you have, start working towards your goals, and watch your dreams come true. What is restricting your mind, your goals, your dreams, and your success?
