MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR LEADERSHIP

“A leader is a dealer in hope.” - Napoleon Bonaparte

How effective is your leadership?  Are you taking every opportunity to make the most of your leadership?

The greatest leaders don’t complain and waste time about what they don’t have, but they make the most of those things within their reach.  It’s not about being rich and having a lot of money.  (Of course, there is nothing wrong with having money and being rich or wealthy.)  The best leaders are resourceful.

When you take a close look into the life of great leaders, you will discover their uncanny ability to make the most their leadership.  The greatest leaders do these three things.

Know Your Story

Life is full of challenges and opportunities.  One of the reasons why successful leaders are able to make the most of their leadership is because they know the importance of their story.  You will be surprise how knowing your story will assist you in being more successful as a leader.

We all have a unique story.  Do you know your story?  Better yet, do you know how to gain inspiration from your story?

We all have overcome some form of difficulty when we look back over our lives.  Use those life experiences to make the most of your leadership.

Change Your Attitude

We did not have much when I was a child, but my siblings and I never felt like we were lacking anything because we had love.  Rather than encouraging video game play, instead my parents would send us outside to play.  We made up most of our games with our imagination because we just did not have the latest and greatest toys and games.

Somehow if we can figure out how to use your creativity and imagination as a child, it will be helpful in changing your attitude.  As children, even when we didn’t have much, we would still build various structures with LEGO’s, Building Blocks, sticks, rocks, and dirt.

As leaders, we need this same creativity and imagination when we are leading people and making decisions.

“All it takes is a change in attitude.”

Instead of getting bogged down or running into the self-limiting beliefs we develop as adults, we need to open our minds in order to tap into our ingenuity and change our attitudes.

Believe in Your Ability to Change

Once you know your story and have changed your attitude, what’s next?  You have to believe in your ability to be a better version of yourself.  If you don’t believe, no one else will.

Believing has everything to do with positive visualization.  When you believe, you are able to see people, things, and your dreams in a positive light.  This is one of the most important ways of making the most of your leadership.

I do not know where you are now with your leadership, but it’s time for you to step up and be more.  It’s time for you to be better.  Use your story and believe in your change.
