The Compass of Decision-Making
Who? What? When? Where? Why? How? Should I do this?
Should I do that?
What will the outcome be if I take this or that route?
We all are pulled north, south, east, and west.
Need a compass?
The compass’ purpose is to provide direction.
How do you seek direction in your decision-making process?
Every single day, you and I are faced with a multitude of decisions.
What to wear, what to eat, what to buy, which way to go and on and on? Some decisions to make are “minor” in nature and some are of greater importance, which may vary in short or long-term impact.
Recently, I was faced with making a very important decision; one of many. I found myself “researching” the topic, as I would call it ---- researching statistics, reading other people’s opinions, comments, blogs, you name it.
It was OVERWHELMING!
Doing all this “research” did not in any way, assist with my decision.
It only made my final decision to be made that much harder to make.
Reading this “stuff” robbed me of my joy, my mental resolve and inner peace. It led me to ask more questions instead of coming to a final decision. By reading this “stuff,” I realized I was allowing society, other people’s opinions and comments to dictate what I could choose to do.
That is until I came to my senses and realized what I stood for. I came to the realization that I needed to get back to my Fear Not Be Weird mentality.
It was then I came across these timely quotes, courtesy of Pinterest, but delivered directly by God. It helped confirm my weirdness in my every day decision-making.
It doesn’t matter what others have done or choose to do. It is dangerous to let anyone or anything dictate decision-making.
NOthing should rob you of the joy of a clear mind.
