TIME FOR A PLAN OF ACTION

“You were born to win, but to be winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.”  ~Zig Ziglar

What have you accomplished this summer?

There are approximately 318.9 million people living in the United States. In 2015, about 70.3 million of these individuals were enrolled in schools from Elementary to Collegiate / University education.

For many people, it is back to the routine of taking their children to school. Teachers are preparing assessments and curriculums. As a teacher, I hope students, parents, and teachers are all ready to hit the ground running with learning and teaching.

Everyone has responsibility when it comes to the educational process. We know the role and responsibility of students and teachers, but parents also play a big role in the educational process. Most schools encourage parents and teachers to do a meet and greet in the first few weeks of school.

I have always been a fan of having a plan. With this school year beginning, I started thinking about the need for a plan of action in every profession. And developing a plan of action requires leadership.

Your leadership ability is at its peak when you take time to develop a plan. There are some things you can fly by the seat of your pants with, but for the most part you always want to have a plan of action.

How do you develop a plan of attack?

There are a four questions you should ask yourself if you are going to develop a sound plan of action.

1.    What is your goal?

2.    What do you plan to accomplish by achieving this goal?

3.    How do you plan to achieve your goal?

4.    How long will it take to meet your goal?

These questions will bring success to all aspect of your life from school, to business dealings, to relationships, to losing weight, to achieving your most important life goals. Please know that just because you have a plan doesn’t mean your plan will work. You may have to adjust your plan.

Whatever you do, start developing a plan of action. If you don’t know where to start, start with your family. Since school is getting ready to start, develop a plan of action for the success of your child. Take advantage of this school year being the best year ever for your child or children. You can empower and inspire your children to love learning. Also, you can empower and inspire your professional life with these strategies.
