WHY YOU NEED HELP
All of our plates are full, but how are we managing what we have on our plates?
One of the primary needs of every human is peace. Peace is freedom from disturbances or distractions. As humans, we will always have things competing for our time. So what should be our priority? How do we get through our busy days?
The best way to get through your day is with help.
I don’t know about you, but as a leader I need help everyday. As leaders, we will need the help of our families, teams, etc. Today’s Wednesday meditation discusses where we should seek our help.
We will discover the help we desperately need when we seek to hide in the presence of God daily.
“How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, before the sons of men! You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man; You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.” – Psalm 31:19-20
There are many reasons why we need the help of God. Here are three primary reasons:
- He is the Creator and knows all things.
- He cares and wants the best for us.
- He is always with us.
When you look at the reasons why we need the help of God, it all boils down to us needing peace.
Why peace?
Before we out anything on our need list, it is important to place the peace of God on our lists. Money, cars, homes, educational status, etc. will not bring us happiness and joy that peace will bring.
If you are consistent reader, first I must say thank you for your continued support and I am hoping you will hang around for the journey we started a little over 2 years ago. To our point regarding the need for peace, this is one of the reasons why I wish you and everyone I come in contact with peace and prosperity.
With all the choices in my life, I choose the peace of God over anything else.
There are many scriptures confirming God being in and with us. Because of this, there will never be another companion as devoted as God. God is the constant Companion. Everyday God wants us to feel less stress, less worrying, less anxiety, and less busyness.
One of my daily mantras, which will help you as well is,
“Less of me and more of You (God).”
Work this into your daily routine and live in the confidence of God’s peace.
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” – John 16:33
Question: How has God helped you? How would you benefit from His peace?
Peace and Prosperity,
