MANAGING THE INEVITABLE
/“Without change there is no innovation, creativity, or incentive for improvement. Those who initiate change will have a better opportunity to manage the change that is inevitable.” -William Pollard
Does it seem like life is going at the rate of warp speed?
When I speak of warp speed, you Star Trek fans know exactly what I’m speaking about. Warp speed is a speed faster than light. I feel like we were just celebrating the start of a new year. Now, we are already three months into this year.
How are you keeping up the speed of life?
Time gets away from us all, but we have to be careful of how we are managing our time on this Earth. It can be quite easy to miss out on numerous opportunities to move your life forward because of a lack of managing the inevitable
Time doesn’t stop for anyone. Matter of fact, it seems the older I get the more time flies. This should develop a sense of urgency within you when it comes to managing your time, relationships, business dealings, children, finances, and everything important in your life. Don’t take things for granted. Here are two ways to move your life and leadership forward.
1. Center Yourself
Centering yourself has everything to do with bringing more clarity to your leadership. A centered leader is composed leader.
How centered are you as a leader?
Composing yourself as a leader helps your focus. The more focus you have the easier it will be for you to develop and execute the appropriate strategies to carry out your action steps and meet your goals.
2. Grow Yourself
Are you in need of growth? There are three words every leader should be familiar with to manage their time and relationships - Research, Learn, and Develop.
With the appropriate research, you find it quite easy to learn and develop yourself as a leader. American musician Lawrence Welk said, “I have a tremendous desire to learn, and to grow, and to develop whatever I have that will make or any kind of improvement in me.”
We have to make the best of whatever time we may have to make a difference in this society. So don’t wait to move forward. Take the necessary action steps to center and grow yourself now so you can enjoy the benefits later.
