WHO HAS POWER OVER YOUR MIND?
/Even with the best planning, we will still have times of disappointment. Life can be easy when everything is going fine, but what happens when the chips are down?
If you haven’t had any challenges in your life, just keep living. No, I’m not wishing any hardships on your life. But challenges are part of the human experience.
In the end, it isn’t about the challenge anyway. It is all about how we respond to the challenge.
“Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God’s action in them find that God’s Spirit in them - living and breathing God! Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us into the open, into a spacious, free life. Focusing on self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing. And God isn’t pleased at being ignored.” - Romans 8:5-8
We all have seen many businesses, business owners, supervisors, and any other leader only concerned about self. Some of these people are smart; better yet most are brilliant geniuses.
The problem has been, is, and will always be - we as humans all have limitations. We discussed God being the Ultimate Superhero in our last Wednesday Devotion, You Will Achieve The Impossible. Whether you are a leader, follower, successful, unsuccessful, rich, or poor, we need someone who can do more than what we can ask or think.
“God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever imagine or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing around but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within us.” - Ephesians 3:20
So that leaves only one question, “Who are you trusting your life, business, career, family, children, companion, etc. with?”
We are all looking to move forward in life. Turning your test into a testimony. Turn your mess into a message. Experience success beyond your wildest dreams by letting the Spirit of God control your mind.
When you give God permission to control your mind, you will discover success beyond your imagination even in the midst of your disappointments or misfortunes.
Question: In what areas of your life do you need more control?
