YOU WILL ACHIEVE THE IMPOSSIBLE
/I enjoy watching adventure and action packed sci-fi films such as Avengers. I love the way whenever you are in dire need these superheroes are instantly present to help.
After watching these movies, I walk out of the theater with a great sense strength, courage, and confidence. I feel a little like a superhero myself.
It doesn’t take but a few minutes or even seconds for me to come back to my senses and realize I am only human with weaknesses, frailties, and imperfections.
Knowing my limitations causes me to look for help outside of myself. The more time I spend getting to know my God, I am constantly reminded that He is the ultimate Superhero.
“The righteous cry out, and the LORD has them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” - Psalm 34:17
In today’s Wednesday meditation, I would like to share three reasons why I think God is the Ultimate Superhero and the greatest leader we have all ever known.
1. God is Omnipresent. God is present everywhere at the same time. I don’t know of any leader or superhero with the ability to be everywhere at the same time. There have been times when I have needed help and no one was there, but God. It was the most inopportune time, but God was there to help me. Furthermore, there will be times in the future times when I will need Him. You will need Him and He will be there to help if you will call on Him.
2. God is Omniscient. God knows all things. He knows when we are hurting, lonely, challenged, or happy. He knows where you are with your career, finances, marriage, leadership, education, etc. He knows your heart from your thoughts to the literal pumping of the actual organ in your chest. He knows illness or the future diagnoses you will receive. HE KNOWS and wants you to give Him permission to help.
3. God is Omnipotent. God is all-powerful and able to do anything. So don’t be afraid. He can do anything. Do fear when it comes to loving others, walking away from negative relationships, interviewing, making a job change, transitioning to retirement, starting a new business, taking any personal/business risk, etc. God is able to do anything and He will. Has wants to see you achieve the impossible, which is why He sent His Son. Paul said in Philippians 4:13, “Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.” Trust in God’s POWER!
There is nothing like knowing someone has your back. As leaders, God wants us to place our desires in His hands. He wants us to start, live, and complete our journeys with Him.
Why should we put our total trust in God? Because we can be sure of two things in this life: 1) God and 2) change.
You will achieve the impossible if you put God first. You may not see Him in the form of a man, but doesn’t mean we shouldn’t believe. GOD IS ALIVE! He wants you to achieve the impossible.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” - 2 Corinthians 5:7
